Come hear how 9th graders at Mount Mansfield UHS spent time designing, building, launching and studying bottle rockets in a project that incorporates Newton’s Laws, NGSS Engineering Standards, 3D design and video analysis of motion. Documenting the design and construction process, learning 3D modeling software, working on collaborative teams and learning how to gather motion data using a video analysis tool called Tracker kept students engaged in this multi-faceted activity that yielded a deeper understanding of Newton’s Laws.
